- There is a learning curve: This is not an point and shoot type of game. It's a REALISTIC Simulation, so you need to learn how to use the controls properly. If you are looking for an arcade style game with instant gratification, this might not be the right choice for you. Let's take a look at this product and see what are the pros and cons of this package.
It has been built to be as close to real life as possible. Everything from terrain, aircraft reactions, to planetary alignments & movements.
After playing dozens of other flight sims online I noticed the best about Pro Flight Simulator is the attention to detail, but not as good as our top pick.
It has about 120+ Airplanes, Helicopters to choose from and 20.000 real world Airports, a bit less then our Editor's Pick Virtual Pilot 3D.
The game even goes to the extent of including accurate mapping of the solar system and real time weather. So if it’s raining in Florida in real life it will be raining in Florida in the game!
The game has an online component has been expertly implemented. Two that stood out in the online mode were formation flying and chatting, which to be honest I thought were put together brilliantly.
Pro Flight Simulator offers 5 Years of free updates, which is a plus. I would say this is still better than the outdated Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
This game is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10, but also with MAC.

This realistic flight simulator is very popular too. It has an improved flight model including windflex, it makes better use of the multi-core processing for artificial intelligence aircraft, global illumination and shadowing, etc.
X-Plane provides beautiful 3D cockpits and offers not only a airplanes, but also gliders and helicopters.
This is a quite good game for flight sim enthusiasts. I've played this for some time, but these days I prefer to play Virtual Pilot 3D.

4. Microsoft Flight Simulator X
It also has amazing features like Tower control capability, cool missions and high detailed cities and airports. Though it´s worth a look at, it is already quite old and not up-to-date anymore, which is why I personally prefer the game Virtual Pilot 3D to it.
There are a lot of add ons available for purchase, but the game itself is already very expensive and quite outdated.
For less money you get Virtual Pilot 3D with worldwide scenery and free updates and much more features.
